Changing Tides: The Legacy of Watermedia is a celebration of water media. Artists are invited to submit work in watercolor, Ink, acrylic and gouache that highlights the possibilities of the medium. Work that celebrates the tradition of water media or explores its future is encouraged. This is a juried showcase and will not include prizes.

Changing Tides will include a legacy showcase, recognizing the impact the Rio Bravo Watercolorists (RBW) had in the region. Only 2024 members of the RBW may participate in the legacy showcase. All non-RBW participants are invited to enter the open call.

ENTRY
● Artists are invited to enter up to two (2) works of art into Changing Tides: The Legacy of Watermedia 2025’s Open Call. Work should celebrate the tradition of the media or explore its future.
● The entry fee is $30 for submission of up to two works of art in watermedia, including: watercolor, acrylic, Ink and gouache. Cash, check, and card payments are all accepted and may be made in person at the Museum. Please make checks payable to: International Museum of Art. ● Entries must be submitted via mail, Google Forms or in-person to be valid. Emailed entries will not be accepted.

ELIGIBILITY:

Open to all artists 18 or older. The International Museum of Art reserves the right to reject any works not meeting eligibility requirements or deemed inappropriate to hang in the Museum. Any entrant whose submissions are deemed ineligible for the show will be entitled to a refund of their entry fee. Acceptance in the Exhibit gives the International Museum of Art the right to photograph or use the submitted photographs for promotional purposes. Entries will remain in the exhibit galleries and cannot be removed before Saturday, April 19 2025.
