Photo Shoot Location

You will have access to these areas within the IMoA and Historic Turney Home

  • Parlor
  • Staircase
  • Stained Glass Window
  • Large Mirrors; Foyer and Staircase
  • Library
  • Exterior of the home
  • Balcony; limitations and weather permitting

Photo shoot guests are welcome to use our changing room, located upstairs. Please advise staff member if this room is needed.

 

Restrictions

  • No photo shoots are allowed within our galleries
  • No museum objects or furniture are to be used as props
  • Photoshoots cannot be booked after 4:30pm or outside operating hours
  • No one besides the photographer and those being photographed are allowed upstairs
  • The museum and our grounds are not a playground, please advise young ones in your party that this behavior is not allowed, Thank you

Parking

We have a parking lot located off Brown and Rio Grande, as well as an entrance with a ramp to the museum. Additional parking is located around the building, on Brown, Montana and Noble.

 

 

About our museum

The International Museum of Art, a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization, is located in the heart of El Paso’s historic Rio Grande District. The building, a Victorian-style mansion designed by architect Henry C. Trost, was owned by State Senator William Turney and his wife Iva, a prominent El Paso family who resided in the home from 1909 to 1939. Following Senator Turney’s death, Mrs. Turney donated the property to the City of El Paso. Honoring the wishes of the Senator and Mrs. Turney – that their former home always be used for the arts- the Turney mansion became the home of the International Museum of Art.
