Mark Cirzan has been a graphic designer/illustrator for over 30 years. His attraction to watercolor was inspired by the free flow of color and its unexpected behavior, in comparison to the rigid clean look of corporate illustration. He combines a variety of styles depending on the subject matter, enjoying the variety of techniques available in this medium.
Currently he’s been expressing himself in a looser wet on wet style where pigment blends on paper. This style can offer a very colorful look to the painting and create many soft hues and textures.
The demo will be done in a limited pallet of 1 to 2 colors with the emphasis on tone and saturation, with highlights and shadows creating detail.
Rio Bravo Watercolorists will have a meeting at the International Museum of Art on March 15, at 10:30 am. The public is welcome for more information, please contact Wanda Richardson, 915 276-5035.
